It was the time of the equinoctial week. Many people visited their family temple. And I also visited the temples which were not my family temples in this area. This temple was one of them. Many wooden pails were put beside the hall. The family crest was drawn on every pails. These pails were used for washing the tombstone.

Like in other many religions, water is believed that it has a power to purify in Buddhism. I think it is a mutual common to all humankind.
