During walking around the courtyard, many worshipers came one after the other. I watched the gate from which the worshipers came through. A torii was seen on the other side of the wooden gate. You have to come through 3 torii before reaching at the prayer hall when you come from Harajuku station.

By the way, the rootstock of torii was unsure. According to one estimate, it derived from Torana which was a type of gateway seen in the Indian subcontinent and others.
