A short time after one bride and groom disappeared into the shrine hall where the ceremony was held, another wedding party appeared. There are many couples who get married at Meiji Jingu Shrine. I wonder how many couples get married here in a day. It was as if the bride and groom were flowing down a conveyor belt, and the wedding was being held in a flowing operation. The bride and groom and their relatives must be very busy, but so must the Shinto priests who preside over the ceremony.

The groom in his Montsuki Hakama and the bride in her white kimono were walking side by side behind the priest and the priestess, and another priest was walking right behind them. The group appeared in the courtyard and proceeded slowly. The priest walking behind the bride and groom had a large guard umbrella over them. The umbrella was large enough to hold two adults and looked very heavy.
