Yet his eyes had a power
A stubble-faced laborer was coming from the over there. Although he was still at work, he seemed to be already exhausted and what he wore was shabby. When he came just in front of me, he stopped. And he started to gaze at me.
Beyond expectation, his eyes were sharp. Yet he said nothing. His body and soul seemed to be completely knackered. After a while, he averted his gaze and walk again. He went back to work. I wondered whether he could continue to work until the closing time.
