The cat seemed to be surprised at being attacking in the rear
The cat was relaxing by the wayside. Walking the lanes in the old quarter, I saw many cats. Many stray cats seemed to make their habitat in this area. The cat might be one of them.
It was exposed because the place was in its territory. So it was easy to take the cat in the rear. When it noticed my existence, it was too late to run away. The only thing it could do was to look at me with surprising eyes. It seemed to be paralyzed with fright.
