An elderly woman sitting on the side of the road in the center of Yangon was smoking a cigar called Seboleik. She seemed to be enjoying herself as she closed her eyes and smoked. It looked delicious.

In Myanmar, chewing tobacco, called Kun, is much more popular than regular cigarettes and is sold everywhere in town. There are as many people who enjoy cigars as there are Kuns. The interesting thing is that there are many people who enjoy them regardless of gender. When strolling around town, it is not so strange to see a woman puffing on a burly cigar.

While most cigarettes are produced in foreign countries and are relatively expensive, cigars can be bought for about one yen each. It seems that many people smoke cigars because they are much cheaper than cigarettes. In any case, people in Myanmar often chew tobacco, smoke chewing tobacco, and blow cigars. I wonder if they feel lonely if they don't have something in their mouth at all times.
