The audiences watched the race
It was a day of a festival. And a bicycle race was held in this small town. The local people gathered around the goal of the race and enjoyed watching the bicycles running down a ramp. Some people were standing on the veranda to get a good look. A cheer arose for every time the participant finished. They seemed to be happy indeed.
I thought the festival was held to not only attract the tourists but also entertain the dwellers.
