A dog was lying in the middle of the street in Santa Maria
It was a boiling hot day. The heat was so intense that people had lost interest in working, and few people were walking around the town of Santa Maria. The streets were deserted. A dog was sleeping in the middle of the road. I was worried that the dog might be run over by a car or motorcycle sleeping in the middle of the roadway, but the dog seemed confident that cars would avoid him.
No one wants to run over a dog, so if they see a dog sleeping in the middle of the road, they will avoid it. It is because of the kindness of humans that dogs are free to sleep wherever they want.
