The fished were just landed
The fishermen had finished the coastal dragline fishing. Then, there was a crowd on the beach. And a heap of ocean-fresh fishes was placed in the center of the crowd. The fishes were relatively small. Some brokers came here and were testing them. They might be pricing because their expressions were serious.
Although the major religion in Sri Lanka is Buddhism, it is said that most of the fishermen are Christians. The reason is that they take a life on a day-to-day basis.
