The woman pierced her left nostril
I met an elderly woman who had her nose pierced when I strolled along the streets. It was common for women to have nose pierced here. And all women did on the left nostril. I wondered why they did so at first.
Apparently, they believed it had an effect of diseases peculiar to women. To have nose pierced was not just a fashion here. The woman standing just in front of me looked straight at me and had creases at the corners of her eyes.
