While walking through a residential area in Luang Prabang, a man who appeared to be a fisherman was sitting in front of his house. There were fishing nets hanging from the wall, and the fisherman was carefully tending to them. There was a weight attached to the bottom of the net, so I guessed it was a cast net. The man was probably preparing for tomorrow's fishing. The fishing nets are meticulously cleaned. It takes a lot of patience to do this kind of work. The fisherman I saw in India was also quietly working on their nets.

On the banks of the Mekong River, you can see a number of long, narrow wooden boats. This man must be on one of those boats, fishing in the Mekong River. This is a landlocked country, but Luang Prabang is located along the Mekong River, and many fishermen fish in the river. The fish that are landed are sold in the market for the locals.
