The monkey took the Coke from me, draped it over the wall and started licking it

Swayambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, is a Nepalese Buddhist temple located on a hill about three kilometers west of the center of Kathmandu, and is home to many monkeys. And the trouble is, the monkeys here are not afraid of humans.

I've heard that if I am not careful, they'll steal the food I am holding, but I was too careless. I thought that the only thing the monkeys could take away from me was my food. The monkeys approached me, but I didn't have any food with me. I was so careless that the monkey snatched a Coke plastic bottle from my hand.

When the monkey grabbed the bottle, I immediately put some effort into it to prevent it from being taken. But wild monkeys are very strong, and they snatched the bottle away from me in no time. The monkey climbed on top of a nearby fence, dripped the contents of the bottle onto the fence, and began to lick and drink the cola.

The sweet cola with a lot of sugar in it is a taste not found in nature and must be delicious for the monkeys. However, even though the monkeys were able to snatch the bottle, it seemed to be difficult for them to put their mouths on the bottle and gulp it down like humans do, so they just licked it off the wall.
