A young man working at a food stall had several rotis in his hand
A young man was working at a food stall that was operating on a sidewalk in Kolkata. The young man in a tank top was standing with a lot of rotis in his hands. He was quite thin for working at a food stall. He was so skinny that I was worried that he might not be eating much. Perhaps he is eating but working hard at the food stall has made him skinny.
Like all the other stalls around, this one served curry. The Indian accompaniment to curry is not naan, as is common in Japan. Roti is much more common. When Japanese people think of Indian curry, they think of naan, but naan cannot be cooked without a cooking stove called a tandoor. Roti is more common at street stalls.
