The boy gave me a sharp look as if to protect the girl laughing behind him
The boy I met on the street in Pune looked at me sharply. It was as if he was challenging me. His lips were pursed and there was no friendly atmosphere. The girl behind him was smiling innocently, so perhaps he was on a mission to protect her from the gentile cameras. The girl, however, didn't seem to care about that.
The boy's stern expression and the girl's soft one were in stark contrast to each other.
