There were people standing here and there on the three-way street where the big tree stood

I was walking around Nezu, part of the area called Yanesen. There are many temples in this area. And the streets are narrow. I suppose this is because the streets from before WWII have been preserved without being destroyed in air raids.

In the meantime, I came to a small three-way intersection. This is a tasteful place with a big tree standing on the crossing.

As I stopped and looked up at the tree, I saw other people stopping at the trestle. But it was different for each person to see what they were looking at. The girl with the glasses was looking up, the guardsman was watching for traffic, and the man standing at the end of the path on the right was looking up with his arms crossed. All of them, including me, were standing very close together, but they were all looking at a different scene.
