The boys were waiting impatiently for me to release the shutter
For the most part, the boys I met on the street in India were curious about the idea of having their photo taken. Perhaps the act of taking photos is not yet a part of the boys' daily lives. It's an extraordinary thing. The boys were caught up in that sense of the unusual, and as soon as they saw me walking around with an SLR camera, they would gather around me.
The same was true of these boys I met in Mumbai. They came right in front of me, watching my every move. They were waiting for me to take their photo. If I don't take pictures soon enough, I'll be scolded for being too slow.
