While strolling through the town of Tenejapa, I found a pig sleeping at the edge of the road. A string was tied tightly around its back. I'm not sure if it's a pet or a domestic animal. It seemed too small to eat, and the fact that it had a string attached to it meant that the owner must have been taking it for a walk from time to time. I don't know what will happen to it when it grows up, but at least for now it is a pet.

Come to think of it, I've seen a pig tied to strings on the streets of the Philippines, and I've also met people walking a pig in Tokyo's Rinshi No Mori Park. It seems that there are many people who keep pigs as pets in this world.

Even if they are raising pigs as pets now with the intention of eating them when they grow up, will they be able to slaughter them when the time comes? Personally, I doubt it. I have a feeling that if you spend a lot of time with a pet, you will become attached to it and it will be difficult to slaughter it. After all, I love them so much that I take them for a walk.
