I stood on the overpass and looked at the straight line of the railroad tracks. The temperature was high and muggy. Even just standing still on the bridge, I was breaking out in a steady stream of sweat. After a while, a woman appeared on the side of the track. She was holding a checkered umbrella. In Yangon, no one says anything about walking along the side of the tracks. I felt it was dangerous, but I guess it was my own responsibility. There are not that many trains running in the first place.

At the end of the tracks is the Phaya Lan station of the Yangon circle line. A train that does not come often stopped at the station at a good time. The woman with the umbrella was walking toward the platform and looked like she was trying to catch the train. But she couldn't catch it in time. The trains don't come often, so it would be a hassle to miss one, but there was nothing we could do.
