In the alley where the open-air market was held, people were selling various vegetables on the ground
An open-air market was being held in an alleyway in Dhaka where I stepped. Stores were lined up in the middle of the street. The stores were all modest, with no one setting up stalls or tables. All of the stores had their goods laid out on the ground.
The man in the photo is one of the vendors at the open-air market. He, too, was selling vegetables on a tray on the ground without a table. A customer had just arrived, the vegetables were sold, and the man in the lungi was weighing them using a balance.
