A woman walked her bicycle in the lane
The alleyway I was walking down in Ho Chi Minh City was surrounded by tall buildings on both sides and stretched out far into the distance. It was as if I was lost in a three-dimensional maze. Such an alleyway is difficult to understand for not only tourists like me but also some local people. Walking the lane, I found a woman wearing a conical hat at the end of the alleyway. She walked her bicycle, scurrying around. She looked as if she was lost.
There was only me and the woman in the conical hat in the alley. There was no one to show me where to go. Perhaps thinking that no one could be counted on, the woman turned around and left in the direction she came from. In the narrow, maze-like alleys, even locals can get firmly lost.
