The boy was playing with his hand in an empty box at a cafe table
A young boy was playing in a roadside café in My Tho. He was in the position of leaning his upper body on the table, his hands in an empty instant coffee box. He sometimes made strange noises. He glanced at me, but did not seem to pay attention. He quickly averted his gaze from me and continued to play by himself.
I was just thirsty, so I thought about having a Vietnamese coffee at this cafe, but I was a bit worried. By analogy with the empty box the boy was playing with, it seemed that if I ordered here, I would get instant coffee.
