A man was standing on the roadside in Georgetown. He was a trishaw driver waiting for a customer. Touts are not pushy here. He did not pester me, even though I was obviously a tourist. Instead, when I pointed my camera at him, he gave me a crinkled smile.

A trishaw is a bicycle cab. I think it is a coined word from tricycle and rickshaw. The area around Penang is very sunny. Many trishaw drivers have parasols attached to their cars. This man's trishaw was also equipped with a parasol.
