Some girls looked at me curiously from a distance
When I walked around Manila's Intramuros, I often saw children. Many children were playing in the street. Even the girls in the photo were having a good time chatting on the side of the road.
There were a few girls hanging out on the side of the road and two of them noticed me with my camera. They gave me a curious look. They had a notebook in their hands, so they might have been in the middle of doing their homework together.
The reaction to a camera is quite different for boys and girls. You can see the difference in their reactions even when they are still young. Roughly speaking, most boys want to be photographed in a cool way and most girls want to be photographed nicely. The girl in the photo also gave me a cute smile when I pointed the camera at her. I still felt like the girls were precocious.
