I wasn't sure if the pig tied to a string on the side of the road was a pet or livestock

Although Bontoc is the capital of Mountain Province in the northern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines, it is a small rural town. Even walking along the main street, there are only a few stores scattered about, and the atmosphere is peaceful.

As I walked along the main street, I saw an animal on the side of the road. Surprisingly, the animal was neither a dog nor a cat, but a piglet. In Southeast Asia, it is not uncommon to find ordinary houses in the countryside that do not have pig farms and keep pigs for food.

I wondered which kind of piglet this was. Is it a pet? Or is it a domestic animal? I scurried around to ask the owner, but I couldn't find anyone who looked like the owner. I had no choice but to look at the pig seriously. Then I came to the conclusion that it was probably a pet. I didn't find any evidence that it was a pet. It had a string attached to it, it was well-behaved, and most of all, I couldn't bear to eat the cute little piglet. It was better to think of it as a pet, so that his mind would not be disturbed.
