The tricycle with so many students on board was, by all accounts, over capacity
As I was walking along Intramuros in Manila, a motorcycle cab came running from the other side. It was a three-wheeled motorcycle cab, known as tricycle in the Philippines. The tricycle crossed in front of me, making a rattling sound.
It was a cab, so it was only natural that it should carry passengers, but even so, it seemed to be carrying too many. There were a lot of kids on their way home from school in one motorcycle cab. It was hard to count how many people were in the cab. It was obvious that the cab was over capacity. The engine of the motorcycle was screaming and the driver's face was equally distressed.
