Various oddly-shaped rocks were placed along the shore of the pond in the Lingering Garden. The Chinese garden, the model for the Japanese garden, also embodies the world of Taoist immortals with the pond at its center, just like the Japanese garden. However, while the Japanese garden emphasizes the naturalness of the garden, the Chinese garden is characterized by the use of strange rocks such as Taihu stone to create a mysterious and unique space. The strange rocks that can be seen in this Lingering Garden also represent the mystery of the garden.

Looking up at the top of the strange rocks, I found an arbor. Since it was a hot day, many people were taking a cool break around the pond. The fact that they were still and motionless seemed to fit the name of this garden, "Lingering". Everyone seemed to stay there for a long time.
