A silhouetted peddler rested on the benchin the fort
I was walking through Galle Fort at dusk. This is a good place for a walk. It's a World Heritage Site, but the only people strolling here at dusk are the locals who have finished their work.
In the midst of all this, a man and his bicycle are silhouetted on the walls of the former fortress. The man was peddling ice cream and was taking a break from his work to look out at the Indian Ocean below. It must be comforting to look at the open sky above him and the waves writhing below him.
