The statue was always being washed
The precinct was crowded. And a queue was there. A stone statue stood in the front of the queue. The statue in the photo was that. It was Ksitigarbha. It was just being washed by a prayer.
When a worshiper finished washing, another worshiper came to wash. So it kept being washed. I worried that it became a just block of stone by being washed in the near future. It was believed that the statue has a power to cure the disease. So many elderly people come to pray and wash it.
