The tower was smaller than I thought
The Bitchu Matsuyama castle was built in 1240 originally. This castle was one of only twelve remaining original castles. Unfortunately, many castles were destroyed after the Meiji Restoration in 1868. The new government might be afraid that the forces of opposition used the castle. If the civil war occurred at that time, the powerful countries took advantage of the vulnerability and this country might be colonized.
By the way, this castle was notable as the castle with the highest elevation above sea level in this country.
