Rennell and Bellona is a province of the Solomon Islands comprised of two atolls, Rennell and Bellona, or Mu Nggava and Mu Ngiki respectively in Polynesian. They are both Polynesian-inhabited islands within the Solomons, most of the islands being primarily Melanesian with a few Micronesian island provinces. They are thus considered Polynesian outliers. Rennell is the southernmost island in the Solomons Group. The atolls were officially discovered by Mathew Boyd of Camberwell, London, Commander of the merchant ship, Bellona, in 1793. The province has a combined population of 2,377 (1999). The Samoic language of the islands is, in English texts, called "Rennell". The capital is Tigoa on Rennell Island.

グレート・バリア・リーフ (Great Barrier Reef) は、オーストラリアの北東、クイーンズランド州の沿岸にある世界最大の珊瑚礁。珊瑚海に位置し、3,000ヶ所の独立した珊瑚礁と大小900あまりの島々からなり、総延長は長さ2,600kmにわたる。多くの場所はオーストラリアの国立公園に指定され、保護されている。1981年にはユネスコの世界遺産（自然遺産）に登録された。日本名は大堡礁（だいほしょう）。
