The rope hung along the eaves was thick
The shrine is one of the most ancient Shinto shrines in this country. The thick rope called 'SHIMENAWA' was hung along the eaves of a hall. And the worshipers came and went under the rope.
It is believed it guards not to come unclean things into the shrine. Although the rope is seen in every Shinto shrine in Japan, the ropes in this area are much thicker than the ordinary. Because it was thick, I worried that the hall could not support the weight of it.
