fisherman - 釣り人

This brought to mind a Tang poem by Liu Zongyuan...

千山鳥飛絕 萬徑人蹤滅
孤舟簑笠翁 獨釣寒江雪
Endless mountains with no bird in sight
Endless paths with no trails of a man
The fisherman in rain coat & straw hat, stood in his boat
Alone fishing in the chilling river

Japan is small country and the mountains are spread in the islands of Japan. So rivers in Japan are shallow and often looks like waterfall. :-)
