Many couples were sitting on the edge of the river
The river in this photo was the Kamo-Gawa river. The river flew slowly and the atmosphere on its riverbank was sedate. The riverbank seemed to be a nice place to hang out for young couples.
When I saw the riverbank from the Shijyo-Ohashi bridge spanned over the river, I found many couples sitting on the edge of the water. And they enjoyed the couple times. So they were sitting at regular intervals not to interfere with each other.
