This mausoleum is dedicated to Ismail Samaniy who was an amir of the Samanid dynasty and was built in the 9th century. It is regarded as one of the oldest Islamic architecture in Central Asia.

Its decoration was sophisticated and beautiful. Although it was not so big, it stood majestically under the blue sky. Because it was buried in the earth for a long time, it was well-preserved. It was 1926 to be excavated by an archaeologist.
