Great catch!! We can learn so much from a cat on the hunt...keep your eyes on the prize and don't get distracted!!

> Robert said : Jul 3, 2006 19:15

Nice contrast between cats and trunk.

> Mb0 said : Jul 3, 2006 19:37

really a great capture, you really can see the expressions of the cats..very nice!!

> Neil said : Jul 3, 2006 21:45

What cute little nekotachi! They look like mischievous little brothers, out to stir up trouble.

> tetsu said : Jul 3, 2006 21:57

Thanks Maile Lani, Micki, Robert, Mb0 and Neil!!!
They gazed but I could not see what they gazed at...

I love it! I wonder what they were looking at. Fantastic capture.

Look at them sweeties!

> MoonSoleil said : Jul 3, 2006 22:24

I wonder what they've spotted...
A bird maybe, or a mouse?

Great picture!!!

> tetsu said : Jul 3, 2006 22:54

Thanks ChriZ and MoonSoleil!!!
Mmm. I could not see what they gazed...

> \cd said : Jul 3, 2006 23:06

lurking and seeking for a mouse, i guess. or maybe they've seen a beetle. in my eyes a picture with high tension.

> tetsu said : Jul 3, 2006 23:26

Thanks ¥cd!!!

> tetsu said : Jul 4, 2006 02:19

i really like this picture! The subtle toning on the cats' bodies is technically pleasing, to say the least. Their positions in the frame are also a beauty to behold.

The only flaw, in my opinion, is the spots of light in the upper lefthand corner. They sort of distract my focus and disrupt the balance of the picture...

> tetsu said : Jul 4, 2006 03:18

Thanks PlasticTV!!
Of course, I noticed the light in the left side. But cats never moved...

> MMM said : Jul 4, 2006 03:32

Fine felines! Great shot!

> tetsu said : Jul 4, 2006 04:19

Thanks MMM!!!

> Phil said : Jul 4, 2006 06:36

I bet you timed this well, they look like they're about to spring into action. Well captured.

Thanks Phil!!

Thanks Azhar!!

> AG said : Jul 4, 2006 14:18

A great capture. Micki had it right about keeping the eye on the prize : same as you do with the camera, Tetsu!

> Jide Alakija said : Jul 4, 2006 17:19

When you process your black and whote shots do you use a gradient map in photoshop or just curves?

> tad said : Jul 5, 2006 00:51

oh lala!
i like .. they are ready to attack!

caught in action , i love it..

> tetsu said : Jul 5, 2006 02:26

Thanks AG, Jide and Tad!!!
I use neither a gradient map nor curves. I adjust an actual sensitivity of the film when I shoot. :-)

> chema said : Jul 5, 2006 06:48

Very good timing capturing the cat. I love the contrast between tha cats and the background.

> ben said : Jul 5, 2006 13:43

> minelmio said : Jul 5, 2006 21:38

Oh... these beautiful holy creatures! Lovely "action" capture! :)

> tetsu said : Jul 6, 2006 00:30

Thanks Chema and Minelmo!!

> mooch said : Jul 6, 2006 07:28

The comments probably already say it Tetsu but when it comes to the essence of a cat, yes, I think this is spot on. Great backdrop too. If they weren't such efficient killers, I'd say they look vulnerable against such a large tree.

> Dorothy said : Jul 6, 2006 17:53

Love the positions of the cats, their spots and do mind the lights in the upper-left.

> tetsu said : Jul 7, 2006 03:36

Thanks Mooch and Dorothy!!
