the choice of panning was rather intriguing. popular choice would be, to pan the line of sight on right side, following the seep of light. but i think i like your choice better. makes the photo more lonesome.

How you find these locations is beyond me. Lovely.

> Robert said : Jun 29, 2006 19:00

Has an academic feel, as if he's a professor walking the school grounds after everyone's left for summer break. Like the composition and lighting.

> micki said : Jun 29, 2006 19:11

Another great composition! You do find wonderful shots like this!! Your eye is so well developed.

once again you have composed an excellent image. what more can I say

> shooter said : Jun 30, 2006 01:01

Tetsu, this is a lovely capture, very reminiscent of Philby Burgess and Mclean and meetings with their spymasters, everything works, just one query did you slightly underexpose the neg?

> tetsu said : Jun 30, 2006 01:09

Thanks Graeme and Shooter!!!
Yes. I usually expose slightly under because I prefer dark images. :-)

> Chad Hilligoss said : Jun 30, 2006 02:21

Nice pictures! I like your style as I prefer darker images myself. Thanks for the shout as well.

> Jon said : Jun 30, 2006 02:42

Great Shot, Very classic moody feeling, realy gives you the feeling of stopping to think, like the person in the photo.

A lovely use of shapes and tone. You have an incredible eye for capturing the magic in a moment.

Awesome use of black and white contrast. The arches are a good effect

> tetsu said : Jun 30, 2006 08:56

Thanks Wilson!!

> Phil said : Jun 30, 2006 09:15

This is a really cool shot - unusual composition, and I really like the light spilling out from the arches.

> tetsu said : Jun 30, 2006 09:50

Thanks Phil!!

> PlasticTV said : Jun 30, 2006 14:30

This shot would mean little without the man in silhouette standing in that position. You have great eyes for these seemingly little things that add to the entire composition of pictures.

> tetsu said : Jun 30, 2006 14:33

Thanks PlasticTV!!

その後ろ姿にドキドキです。
素敵な物陰ですねぇ。
奇麗なレンガとアーチがたまりません。

Most people would be afraid of some much dead space, but the golden ratio works so perfectly here, not to mention the perspective...

> tetsu said : Jul 16, 2006 19:09

Thanks Alex!!
