I love the balance of this picture, the person to the right makes it for me, the brolley holder is oblivious to your presence and looks deep in thought, yet again my friend you've captured a wonderful soulful scene.
You know I need to learn a thing or two from you on how you capture these. Somehow you are able to bring out a mood from them...almost like freezing time.
I like very much this picture because the tone and the moment it trasnmits. She looks isolated not only for the depth of field but also for other things like the fact that she is the only one with umbrella, or her expresion.
There is a lot of very good b&w photos in your blog. I will have to return here!

Thank you so much, Chema!!
It started raining and she opened her umbrella without delay. Not only for rain drops, but also to shut out the view. :-P
was just browsing through for the first time in a long time and this one caught my attention... the umbrella offers a nice focal point missing in the more recent (in my opinion, underexposed) shots.

Thanks Joe[y]!!
Umm. I intend to be underexposed because I like the dark atmosphere...

There's some serious thinking going on there and I can't believe she's not been disturbed by the band to the right! Great scene.
I love the contrast in the scene with that bright umbrella.
まるで梅雨入りしたような天気がつづいていますねぇ...とても素敵な雰囲気の写真です。
Nice DOF! I love the contrast of this shot! Well done!
nice detail of the streetlife, maybe a little dark?
But the light umbrella catches my view.
Great frame... Beautiful composition!

雨って結構好きなんですよ。
傘を選ぶのがまた好きで。
でも、車ばっかなんであまり傘使いませんけども。
この女性は仕事の最中っぽいですねぇ・・なんとなく。
Really like this street shot - The black and white works well for it too!
Thanks Enric, Jide and Ian!!
I always stroll with my camera filled with curiosity. :-)
show-TAさん、ありがとうございます!!
僕も傘というアイテムに惹かれてしまいます。日傘でも好きです。
そうですね、彼女の雰囲気は休日の雰囲気を遮っているみたいですね...
This reminds me of lost in translation in some small way. Fantastic composition and black & white tone!
Thanks Gavin!!

This is an excellent shot! The dark hair and light umbrella and light coat and the way the umbrella stands out from the rest of the scene. Great!
Thanks Kristarella!!
