This is interesting photograph.
Thanks! :)

こういうふうに,後姿をさりげなくとらえた写真,とても好きです.
自分で撮ると,だいなしなのですが・・・

Love it!Focusing is perfect and she stands out amazingly well. Now THIS is a GREAT GREAT GREAT SHOT!

> Ella said : May 18, 2006 18:34

I really like how the woman stands out from the crowd. The movement also comes across as rather smooth. The shadows add additional interest. Very nice, Tetsu!

Another example of good observation by you and exploiting the light, Tetsu.
But, for all those guys, there must be something real interesting out of shot to the right . . lol . .

> micki said : May 18, 2006 19:05

I wonder what made her catch your eye? ;o)

> david kleinert said : May 18, 2006 19:09

I don't mind this shot from behind ;)

> keith said : May 18, 2006 21:59

She is in her own space and not going in the same direction as the rest of the crowd. She even seems to be in her own light. This is good.

> tetsu said : May 18, 2006 22:01

Thanks Takashi, Azhar, Ella, AG, Micki, David and Keith!!
Though I am not a christian, this shot reminds me Exodus. She seemed to divide people. :-p

りんぱぱさん、ありがとうございます!!
彼女の後ろ姿からモーゼの出エジプトを連想してしまって、思わずシャッターを切ってしまいました。

> Bruno Gonçalves said : May 18, 2006 23:57

hehe.. it seems that they opened the way just for her :)
I like the composition :)

> tetsu said : May 19, 2006 00:05

Thank you for you positive comments regarding my site, first time visit to yours for me. This is a great capture, it has so many meanings from the simple to the complex, excellent.

> tetsu said : May 19, 2006 08:25

Thanks 56x56 and Shooter!!

> adam said : May 20, 2006 23:15

Nice shot...great timing to get the girl while there was a break in the crowd. It almost looks like people were intentionally leaving her a buffer.

> tetsu said : May 20, 2006 23:24

Thanks Adam!!

> lorissa said : May 21, 2006 02:59

love how your eyes are immediately drawn to her in such a busy scene. great composition. i especially love that she is the only one walking in this direction - very interesting.

> deji77 said : May 21, 2006 06:36

aaahhhh. another lovely shot from you Tetsu.
Once again you have shown your skill at managing complexity in a scene :D

> tetsu said : May 21, 2006 16:29

Thanks Loriss and Deji77!!
She showed her own identity in the crowd. :-)

> SnowScan said : May 22, 2006 00:16

Thanks Drew!!
I am glad to be chosen as runner up. :-)

> Andres said : May 24, 2006 22:30

I like this one too.You captured her in a way that she takes all my atention. She is walkin in a direcction that no one is walking! Great composition. I think you like Cartier Bresson!

> tetsu said : May 25, 2006 08:18

Thanks Andres!!
Wow!! Bresson is my most favorite photographer!!

> Ingrid said : May 26, 2006 01:40

Funny how despite the crowd, this girl is really standing out in the picture...
It kind of reminds me of "The girl in Red" in the Matrix ;-)

> tetsu said : May 26, 2006 11:18

Thanks Ingrid!!
Umm. I have not seen 'Matrix'...

> Saxi said : May 27, 2006 08:44

i just remember an old Bad Religion song called *Against the Grain* when i see this image.
motion in the crowd - but she keeps cool.
shadows are great too...simply perfect.

> tetsu said : May 27, 2006 11:40

Thanks Saxi!!

> Andy said : Jun 2, 2006 13:14

I love this Tetsu - perfect composition and lighting - did you do any post processing?

For me this shot really captures the feeling of being in Shibuya at it's most crowded. Sometimes you can slide through the hordes of people effortlessly and othertimes it's like fighting your way through treacle. This girl seems to have found the secret though.

I also agree with AG - there must be something pretty amazing to the right of this shot :-)

> tetsu said : Jun 2, 2006 22:03

Thanks Andy!!
I am always swallowed in a crowd when I walk this cross. :-)
I do not do any post processing.
