i like the raised perspective as well as the visual depth in this picture. The modern buildings in the distance bring the location of the temple into context. i also like how you used fast shutter to reduce the human figures to silhouettes. :)

Thanks PlasticTV!
I think it is no need to specify the human in the street in the case of most. :-)
I really like the (white) smoke against a mainly black back drop and the shadows the the people look cool, I would have like to see the whole of the bicyclist shadow

Thanks Johnh!
The shadow hated to be in the frame. :-P
i just can't get over how good your work is; and how different from everybody else's. i love really good black & white photography, and i always find it here.
I guess that is the Kouro of yesterday? Lovely as usual.
Thanks Amande!
Yes. That's right. The object in the centre is 'KOURO'.

Beautiful photo - intriguing - what is a kouro?
Nice. I took a similar picture last year on the steps of the otera :)
Thanks Charlotte and Bella!
Kouro is a kind of cauldron and Incense sticks are fired in it. :-)
Gives a real sense of the place.
Thanks Jasp!
