I wonder how you got this shot! Interesting subjects. Cool photo!

> tetsu said : Mar 14, 2006 16:20

Thanks Jay!
I took from the pedestrian bridge. :-)

> Lito said : Mar 14, 2006 17:16

as always a great shadowplay :-)
NICE

Thanks Roberman!

> Chris Vallancourt said : Mar 14, 2006 23:34

Nice simple composition. I like the interplay of the shadows.

> Matt said : Mar 14, 2006 23:35

Looked at the first time, I say "that's a cool shot."

Looked at again, I say - WOW, what a powerful metaphor! What a great shot to illustrate something like that footprints poem! :) Very cool - very interesting!

> àsìkò said : Mar 14, 2006 23:43

cool shot

> tetsu said : Mar 14, 2006 23:51

Thanks Chris, Matt and Asiko!!

> Charles said : Mar 15, 2006 01:18

I'm loving it. Feels like an out of body experience.

> PlasticTV said : Mar 15, 2006 01:27

That's a simple and strong composition. i agree with Matt - one could draw so many metaphors from it. But i'm most amazed with your ability to see pictures where others can't.

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 01:43

Thanks Charles and PlasticTV!
I am always inspired by photos which are taken by other photographers. :-)

Thanks Suby!

> samcam said : Mar 15, 2006 02:01

Awesome shot tetsu! I love the angle at which you have shot this!!

> johnh said : Mar 15, 2006 02:02

You would not know that the gentleman has his fingers spread a little, unless you looked at the shadow, just one small mystery compared to the big mystery, is it a wooden cross staked in the ground, on a church or maybe just a telephone pole (with phone lines removed in ps which is not here, but the photo lets you exercise your imagination). Did you mean to cut off the gentleman's head in the shadow while the top of the cross is complete (balance)?

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 02:17

Thanks Samcam and Johnh!!
When I strolled in a park, I found the shadow which was a road sign of the park. And I waited someone walking near the shadow as usual. My subject was the shadow and I couldn't put his shadow of the head in the frame unfortunately. It is better to put it in, I guess.

> jasp said : Mar 15, 2006 02:49

You always manage to capture lots of different elements in (what looks like) simple composition. Nicely done.

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 02:52

Thanks Jasp!!

> Yoni said : Mar 15, 2006 05:35

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Looking at your blog you have an intresting style. Your b&w pictures are great, usually with a very specific composition (and message) in mind.

I'll be back for more...

> wiolka said : Mar 15, 2006 06:01

nice and simple but make me think about

> Gary said : Mar 15, 2006 07:13

wonderful perspective and shadows

> Wilson said : Mar 15, 2006 07:47

seductive shadows.

> Satoko said : Mar 15, 2006 07:53

とても独創的な写真ですね。光と影って一瞬なのに、それを撮るのってすごい!!

> DeRAVIZ said : Mar 15, 2006 11:01

Very neat picture. Love the juxtaposition.

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 11:26

Thanks Yoni, wiolka, Gary, Wilson and DeRAVIZ!!

Satokoさん、ありがとうございます!

> M.Niijima said : Mar 15, 2006 13:37

上で他の人が言及されてますが、人の頭の影があればさらに面白い対比になりますね。
でも、これだけでもイイ!と思いましたよ。
スーパーショットですね。

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 17:27

Niijimaさん、ありがとございます!
そうなのです。頭が入っていた方がいいのです...。十字架に見える影と歩く人のことばかり考えていて、人の影をすっかり忘れていました。シャッターを切る時にはすでに遅し、です。

> Glenn said : Mar 15, 2006 20:13

Brilliant shot (again)!

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 20:50

Thanks Glenn!

> jxiong said : Mar 15, 2006 21:49

great one here.. perfect moment and kudos to ur keen eye to spot this.. i like the way the man's head is cut off the frame, gives me somethin to think abt.. ;p

> tetsu said : Mar 15, 2006 21:54

Thanks Jxiong!
I cut the shadow of his head unconsciously....

> tobias said : Mar 16, 2006 01:59

You hang out in some mad places. Yet another interesting and "Tetsu" shot. Nice texture to the surface as well.

> tetsu said : Mar 16, 2006 02:04

Thanks Tobias!
I will keep my own style. :-)

> Amande said : Mar 16, 2006 03:42

Excellent picture though it is a pity that the guy's shadow is cut (u miss the head!)!

> tetsu said : Mar 16, 2006 05:50

Thanks Amande!
Umm. I made a mistake....

> Lucas said : Mar 16, 2006 11:36

The contrast is almost as fabulous like the composition. Good definition of shadows, the B&W choise fits perfect.

Congrats

> tetsu said : Mar 16, 2006 20:45

Thanks Lucas!!

> andy said : Mar 17, 2006 04:35

Very powerful iconography.. man walking away from religion. .. or man under the shadow of the cross. Open to many interepretations. Good work!

Thanks Andy!
