the reflections in here are wonderful, i feel the photo is a bit too dark though.

Thanks Ashish, Ahamed, JLC, Francesco, DeeJay, PlasticTV, Jeremy, Roberman, Armeen!
I am glad to be said 'bears the mark of Henri Cartier-Bresson!' by PlasticTV. My trigger to be interested in photography is Henri Cartier-Bresson. I hope I can take photos like him someday.
Very reminsent of the early 20th century street photgraphers (HCB, Kertesz, etc.) who took ordinary scenes and applied great composition and good printing (though, obviously here "printing" is a whole new ball game!).

Thanks Gary, Joanna and Tuffer!
I am hankering the early 20th street photographers, especially Henri Cartier-Bresson. :-)
yes, you do remind me of cartier-bresson, but there's a bit of paul strand there too. c-b seemed more interested in the people he photographed; strand cared more about the patterns people made (shadows, etc).
there's some of both, and a good deal more that doesn't remind me of anybody; it seems to be just you. you're blog is wonderful. i'll be back often.
Have you considered posting your pictures in a larger resolution - I'd love to see some more detail - and giving your template a dark(er) background? It would certainly enhance your pictures as they are almost completely in B&W and prominently feature dark areas.

Thanks Chris and Sknop!
Umm. I have been said so many times to make photos bigger. I am thinking that making photos much bigger the stain become also much bigger... And I like this blue and white color combination. I will change to dark background when I am tired this template.
Tetsu this is an AMAZING shot. The wet ground is like a mirror, and the figures that are reflected are more clear than those not reflected. Just beautiful. one of my favorites from your site so far.
The reflections add beautifully to the image. Also the fact that the man's face is hidden behind the umbrella adds a bit of mystery which adds interest. Great photo!
Une photo que Cartier-Bresson n'aurait pas dédaigné. Ce qui est pour moi un compliment "ultime"...
remenber "Cartier-Bresson" the French photographer. This picture is exelent : lights, mouvment, athmosphere...

I know "Cartier-Bresson" and love his works. :-)
I did'nt want to post a comment to this picture because it was posted 15 days ago and maybe you will not read this, however, is a beautiful black and white. I love the black tones from the water and the people in this picture.
Thanks for you comment on my blog. This allowed me to discover your blog and your great pictures. This one is my preferit. Moreover you're courageous to take picture under the rain... not an easy job !

I raised my courage to go out at that day. :-)
Reminds me of the famous Micheal Jackson song "Man in the mirror". Nice one.
One of your better photos (and you have a lot of good ones). The balance of the reflections is excellent.

Great shot! (as usual :-) )
This wonderful photograph contains a lot of "mood."

This is a fantastic shot. The shades and the reflections work very well.
Wow, i like the mood!
Terrific shot. The B&W tones and reflections work very well.
I love the way that the contrast distracts the eye from the detail and makes you concentrate more on the form and shape...nice one Tetsu.

Another 5 stars. It could be a picture from a independent movie!

This is the kind of photography I really like. And I like autumn in Holland: so many umbrellas to see!
Thanks Rob!
There are also many tulips in Holland, aren't there?
Very nice! The white umbrellas and the black reflections looks great. I like the mood.
Thanks Ellika!

Great tones, I like how the handbag is disorienting.
Thanks Istoica!
This is image is great! The balance between shapes, tones, and space works very well.
One suggestion, if I were processing, I would try to lighten the umbrella to make it pop out a bit more.
Thanks Clayton!!
