The sunflower bloomed in the outskirt of Ogawamachi
According to a book, Ogawamachi in Saitama is called "Little Kyoto" and has old streets, so I took the train to visit there, but I didn't see such streets anywhere. I was a little disappointed.
Still, I walked around with a faint hope that there might be an old town somewhere, and before long I came to the outskirts of the town. Even the houses, let alone the townscape, were sparse. Sunflowers were blooming on the side of the road. Despite my disappointment, they all stretched out their backs and bloomed in spite of my disappointment. I felt as if they were cheering me up in my despair.
